About Us
OBRA Bautenschutz GmbH was founded in 1965 by Otto Brauch. In its early days, the company primarily carried out waterproofing work. After the original location on Sonderburger Straße became too small, the company moved in 1980 to Max-Born-Straße on Friesenheimer Island. In 1990, after the death of Otto Brauch, the Sax + Klee Group acquired all company shares.
The development into a specialist for floor coatings, which had already begun prior, was consistently pursued in the following years. At the same time, the company gradually evolved into a construction service provider with a comprehensive range of services. As a result, the areas of renovation and construction were added between 2000 and 2001. In 2024, the portfolio was further expanded to include the new field of electrical engineering. Due to this growth, construction of a new office building began in 2001 and was completed in 2002. Additionally, the warehouse space was expanded by acquiring an adjacent property, and in 2024, the vertical extension of the office building was planned and implemented.
Our construction services in structural protection and renovation are carried out by our 140 employees and selected partners. We are particularly proud to guarantee the highest quality, reliability, and occupational safety through continuous training and development of our team, which consists of around 120 foremen, master craftsmen, skilled workers, and helpers.

OBRA Bautenschutz GmbH is a member of the Federal Quality Association for the Repair of Concrete Structures (Bundesgütegemeinschaft Instandsetzung von Betonbauwerken e.V.) and is authorized to use the corresponding RAL quality mark. Furthermore, the company is a certified specialist firm in accordance with the German Water Resources Act (WHG) and has a monitoring contract with TÜV SÜD in this regard. Since 2020, OBRA Bautenschutz GmbH has also been certified according to the quality management system DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
